Starmites & Puppetry

Riana's training is based in musical theatre singing and acting, but has recently expanded to incorporate muppet-style hand & rod puppetry. She's designed and constructed 11 original hand puppets and also operated several larger puppets. She has performed with puppets in the musical STARMITES, a cabaret style show in Olympia, WA, and worked closely with Polish puppeteer Anna Skubik in a workshop in Los Angeles.

Also in LA, Riana recently worked as Director of Puppetry on a new puppet-based TV pilot being pitched in early 2012.
