Read MoreThis commission was one of the most challenging calligraphy projects I've done so far, and also one of the most touching, because the couple didn't commission it: the officiant did! She wanted to surprise newlyweds Mark & Jason with a custom, hand-drawn, personalized piece of art to frame in their home forever.
She insisted these guys were wayyyy too cool to be gifted anything ordinary or state-issued. She kindly asked to include navy, gold, and ivory (their wedding colors). I chose a combination of my signature sans-serif modern uppercase hand lettering with whimsical modern calligraphy.
